Hello blog world!!
I randomly thought of my blog this morning and read my last post which was in July 2021 after our trip to Universal Studios! So much life has happened since then and I thought I would share. I also plan on having all of my posts made into a book, so I wanted an update!
What we are up to? Well, Jeff and I are still plugging along working. Jeff continues to work for Ascension health care in finance. There are no longer any Ascension hospitals in Michigan but Jeff has basically worked remotely since we moved here back in 2018. I opened my own private therapy practice in May of 2025. I had been working part time as a therapist at a group practice but after feeling that wasn't the best fit for me anymore, I took the leap to working for myself. It has been hard but shaped me so much both as a therapist and a human. I continued on at my medical social work job at Henry Ford until just this September. I am glad to be done working there but I will always miss medical social work.
Matthew is a junior at Indiana University studying sports marketing and management. He has had such a fun ride as far as the success of their football team. He was able to go to the Big ten championship last year, the Peach Bowl and the National Championship! He has made a good group of friends and works at BW3's part time. He is helping with the club hockey team and trying to secure an internship for this spring.
Caroline is a sophomore at Miami University in Ohio. The story of how she ended up at Miami seems so random but it has been the best thing for her! She is thriving and keeps busy with her studies she is majoring in marketing and is very invested in her business fraternity. She is in a regular sorority as well. She has wonderful friends and is just living her best life!
Ellie is now a junior in high school. She is on her third year of being on the swim team, and is also does power lifting. She is touring colleges now and will be staying in state as she wants to be a teacher and we have so many wonderful options here in Michigan!
Winston, our beloved maltipoo is 6 years old and we are still obsessed with that little dog. He is Jeff's constant companion!
